We started off with a trip to the Arizona Desert Museum, which was a ton of fun. It's not so much a museum as it is an outdoor zoo/wildlife exhibition. You can walk through the desert and see all the animals that live there roaming around in the wild. It's pretty cool.

Enjoying a little ice cream!The following day we decided to visit nearby Mt. Lemmon. Up at the top of the mountain is the southernmost ski area in the United States, and there's a ski lift that works throughout the year.
There was still snow in patches all over the place up there - crazy!
The ski lift - it starts at 8,200 feet and goes up to 9,157 feet!
It was really cold at the top!!All in all we had a wonderful weekend and were able to see some pretty cool things. We also visited some of the historic districts in downtown Tucson, and ate at the nation's oldest Mexican restaurant in continuous operation by the same family (since 1922), El Charro Cafe. Eat here if you're in Tucson - it was fantastic!

So glad you guys were able to get away and spend a little fun family time together :) We've eaten at El Charro and I agree-it's a great place!
