A-to the-riz-to the-ona

To some of you, this will come as a complete surprise, and to others, you've just been waiting for us to announce this :) ....so here goes....

If you read our Christmas post, you may remember us mentioning that Eric needed to fly out of town on Christmas night. That was actually the last of three trips he took in a lengthy job interviewing process for a position he was hoping to get.

Two weeks ago, Eric received a final phone call to accept the new job position in Phoenix, Arizona. Therefore, at the end of February 2008, we'll be packed up and moving to Arizona!

We are so excited for this next phase of our lives, and can't wait to see what's in store as we move to the beautiful Southwest United States. There will be a lot to adjust to, especially since I've lived in Northern California almost my entire life, and Eric and I have been here together for the last 9+ years. And hey, if you're going to tell us it's hot there, we've already heard rumors about that. We'll let you know if what they say is true! :)

So now is the exciting time of packing boxes, cleaning up, making plans - all that fun stuff.

This is a pretty major step for us, and although we're excited, there's a little bit of sadness, too. Hopefully in the upcoming weeks we can share with you some of the things we love best about Northern California as we experience them for the last time before we move.

So, congratulations to Eric on his new job!! And Arizona, you'd better be ready for the Roy's! :)
