We spent some time at the beach, which I really miss now that we're in the desert. And Kristen really wanted to look for seashells, so we obliged.

We also took in some of the fall leaves in Northern California. Wow, I miss being there this time of year!

So THIS is what Evan did during our entire Thanksgiving dinner... ("Thanks for holding me, Grammy!")
...and THIS is what Kristen did (pipe-cleaner play with the cousins).
Well, that is, until my dad decided it would be a "fun" idea to get a hold of the whipped cream can!
Seriously, it was like a bunch of little baby birds. Oh well, I guess that's what Papa is for!We also had a fun afternoon at the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield, CA. We toured the factory and had a great time - can't you tell?
And Evan had fun in California for the first time, too!Up next...

my boys had those same striped jammies as evan. there's a whale on the front, right? so cute. and, jaimee, he could seriously be one of my kids. he could fit right in here and no one would question if he was my kid. it's the round nose/eyes and now the fluffy stick-up hair. i don't think he necessarily looks like me at all, but he DOES look like one of my kids would look like (if i had another one, which i'm not)
I love fall in our old CA neck of the woods too ;) And ah, the beach. Lovely!
